Located in the heart of Downtown Clearwater next to the Clearwater Main Library and Clearwater Harbor Marina, Coachman Park is a stunning outdoor destination that offers something for everyone. Civic Gateway
As the main entrance to the park, this grand walkway welcomes residents and visitors and offers a scenic overview of the park and Memorial Causeway Bridge. The cascading waterfalls and shaded seating areas create the perfect place for relaxation and reflection. The area also features a large canvas for potential public art murals after the park is completed.
The Lake
The Lake at Coachman Park is a bustling hub of activity. This scenic body of water stretches 320 feet, boasts two impressive fountains and a charming pedestrian bridge. Children of all ages will love exploring the pirate-themed playground, which features two towering climbing structures, slides and a thrilling catwalk.
Looking to cool off from the Florida heat? The adjacent year-round splash pad is the perfect solution, complete with 68 nozzles and four vertical fountains. Rent one of the two covered picnic pavilions for a birthday party or family reunion and take advantage of the nearby restrooms.
The Green
Whether you're looking to have a leisurely picnic in the park, play a game of catch or host an event, look no further than The Green! This spacious four-acre grassy open space is perfect for all kinds of gatherings and activities.
Located inside the green, Coachman Gardens is a peaceful, passive park area with lush vegetation. Stroll along the meandering walking paths or take a seat in one of the many comfortable seating areas and immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings.
Bay Walk Promenade
The Bay Walk Promenade is a wide pedestrian area that boasts stunning Clearwater Gas-lit public art displays and towering Florida palm trees. With its inviting atmosphere, it's the perfect place for a leisurely stroll or to peruse the wares at one of the weekend vendor markets. As the sun begins to set, the Bay Walk Promenade transforms into an ideal spot to sit on the nearby steps and watch the sky change colors over the Intracoastal.
The BayCare Sound is a state-of-the-art facility that has 4,000 covered seats, ensuring an electrifying atmosphere for every event. Featuring a 22,549-square-foot covered venue with a sloped hill design, The Sound offers an exceptional viewing experience on the waterfront. Whether you're sitting front and center or perched higher up on the lawn, you'll be able to soak in every moment of the show.
Bluff Walk North
Conveniently located next to The Sound and the Clearwater Main Library, the Bluff Walk North has additional seating areas, shade structures, restrooms and the potential for impressive large-scale art murals.
It is the responsibility of each person to conduct recreational activities in such a manner so as to prevent injury or loss of life to any person; therefore, it is necessary to prescribe rules and regulations to govern recreational activities in the park areas and on public beaches.
- Park hours vary. When the park is closed, please leave the park.
- Alcoholic drinks or other intoxicants are not permitted.
- Always be respectful to other park visitors, park property and facilities.
- Help keep our parks beautiful by disposing of trash properly in the trash and recycling bins. If you see litter, lend a hand and toss it in a bin.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- Trees, wood, plants, sand, soil, rocks or flowers cannot be removed from the park or beach.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash, be under constant physical control and cannot be tied to trees or plants. Excluding service animals, pets are not permitted on public bathing beaches, public pools and swimming areas. Domestic animals are not allowed at athletic fields and complexes when a programmed event or activity is occurring.
- Park fountains and bathroom sinks may not be used for bathing.
- Do not feed wildlife.
- No soliciting.
- Fishing is permitted in all parks, except those designated with signage not allowing fishing.
- Fires are only permitted for grilling food in established picnic grills.
- No potentially dangerous organized activity such as football, baseball, softball, horseshoes, tennis, volleyball, badminton, or any other organized activity involving thrown or otherwise propelled objects such as balls, stones, arrows, javelins, shuttlecocks, frisbees, model aircraft or roller skates on any public bathing beach or park property, except in areas set aside for that purpose. Informal activities involving the casual throwing of balls, including but not limited to footballs, baseballs, tennis balls, volleyballs, and shuttlecocks or Frisbees shall be permitted unless such activity creates a threat of physical injury to any person.
- No golf or use of golf balls inside a park or beach.
- No amplified sound.
- Vehicles are only permitted in designated parking areas or roadways.
- Photographs taken by Clearwater city staff during programs and events are often used in city publications. If you do not wish to have your or a family member’s picture taken, please let the photographer know in advance.
