'Operation Military Matters' Citywide Donation Drive

The city of Clearwater's inaugural Executive Leadership Academy participants have taken up a service project and have launched a citywide donation drive in partnership with Operation Military Matters that will provide donated supplies to our military personnel overseas. The drive goes through May 31, 2025.

What Items Can Be Donated

Food items (individual): Snack Bars, Candy (avoid chocolate), Gum, Sunflower Seeds, Nuts, Trail Mix, Granola Bars, Fruit Snacks, Ramen Noodles, Seasoning Salt, Hot Sauce Packets, Flavoring Packets for Water, Condiments, Energy Bars, Microwave Popcorn, Tuna Fish, Beef Jerky, Instant Mac and Cheese, Tea Bags, Peanut Butter, Coffee Packets
Toiletries (travel size): Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Dental Floss, Disposable Razors, Shampoo, Body Wash, Bars of Soap, Flushable Wipes, Antibacterial Wipes, Chapstick, Lotion, Deodorant, Feminine Hygiene Products, Foot Powder, Sunscreen, Nail clippers, Q-Tips, First Aid Kit, Kleenex, Insect Repellant Wipes
Entertainment: Pens, Stationary, Frisbees, Balls, Holiday Decorations, Board Games, Cards, Books, Journals, Playing Cards, Word Find Books, Puzzles

The donation drive runs from May 1 through May 31, 2025. Donation bins are available at the city facilities below:

Beach and Harbor Marinas
City Hall Offices: 600 Cleveland St., sixth floor
Economic Development and Housing: 509 S. East Ave., Suite 227
Fire & Rescue: 1140 Court St. and other stations
Gas System: 777 Maple St.
Libraries: Countryside, East Community Library @ SPC, Main, North Greenwood
Old Clearwater Library: 2741 State Road 580
Parks & Recreation: Countryside Recreation Center, Henry L. McMullen Tennis Complex, Long Center, Moccasin Lake Nature Park, Morningside Recreation Center, and North Greenwood Recreation Center
Police Headquarters: 645 Pierce St.
Public Utilities: 1650 N. Arcturas Ave., Building C, and various water plants
Ultimate Medical Academy Building: 1255 Cleveland St.
