The Marine & Aviation Department operates as a revenue-producing department responsible for the operation and management of the Clearwater Beach Marina, Clearwater Harbor Marina, Island Estates Marina and Clearwater Marine Aquarium boat slips, Seminole Street boat ramps, Clearwater Beach boat ramp, Clearwater Recreation Center public day docks and the Island Way Grill public day docks.

In addition, we maintain and oversee the Clearwater Airpark by way of an operating and lease agreement with our Fixed Base Operator (FBO), FlyUsa-PV, LLC.

The department is also responsible for waterway management within the city’s municipal boundaries. This includes the permitting and maintenance of over 200 navigational and regulatory markers.

The Marine and Aviation Department strives to provide a quality experience for our tenants and visitors. We welcome inquires related to our facilities and slip availability.

Clearwater Beach Marina

Clearwater Beach Marina, ideally located on world-renowned Clearwater Beach, offers access to a variety of boating activities and is home to the finest fishing charters, sailing charters, sight-seeing boats, dinner cruises, dolphin tours, parasailing and personal watercraft rentals.

Clearwater Beach Marina Replacement Construction Project

The Clearwater Beach Marina will undergo a replacement project. Construction is expected to start in late 2024.

Seminole Boat Ramp Commercial Use Permit

Applications(PDF, 476KB) for the Seminole Boat Ramp Commercial Use Permit will be accepted the week of June 24 through 28. Print the application or pick up a printed application from the Harbormaster’s Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 25 Causeway Blvd., Clearwater Beach.

Coast Guard City

The city of Clearwater and the Marine and Aviation Department work in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard at the Clearwater Air Station near the Clearwater/St. Petersburg Airport and the Sand Key Coast Guard Station just south of Clearwater Beach. With miles of coastline bordering Clearwater, this partnership is a natural step in the protection of citizens near and on local waters. For more information, click here.
