First Time Users

Step 1.For First Time Users...

blink-QRcode.png Download the Blink Charging Mobile App from your preferred app store. Follow on-screen instructions to start a charge session as a Blink guest or pay with an RFID credit card.

There will be a $25 authorization hold in the credit card provided when creating an account. Fees will not be charged to your account until you add funds to your account.

You may proceed to become a Blink Member for free if you wish and enjoy discounted rates at selected charging stations.

Step 2.Plug In and Charge

blink-charger.png Once authorized to charge, the screen will confirm availability.

Remove the connector from the station and plug it into your vehicle. Follow the onscreen instructions to begin charging.

Step 3.Complete the Session

blink-complete.png Push the lock release button and remove the connector from your vehicle. The summary for your charging session will display the duration of your session and the amount you are being billed. You will also receive a session summary via email if you “opt-in” to notifications.

Members

Step 1.For Members...

Blink card If you’re already a member, and have received your Blink Card, activate any Blink EV charging station by holding your Blink Card to the reader below the touchscreen or activate a remote start from the mobile app.

Or, if you have linked your own payment method within the Blink Charging Mobile App, locate the charger location and follow on-screen steps and proceed to charge.

Step 2.Plug In and Charge

Two City Parking Locations are EVAL Certified!

Charging Station

The city of Clearwater has two parking locations that are nationally certified through the Electric Vehicle Adoption Leadership (EVAL) program:

  • Coachman Park Lot 11 received gold status with three dual-port chargers.
  • SILVER EVAL Certification Plaque.png Garden Avenue parking garage was ranked silver and has two single-port chargers.

The EVAL certifications range from Bronze to Platinum, representing a tiered system that measures the quality and effectiveness of an organization in areas such as education, assessment practices, and training.

  • Bronze is entry-level, indicating that organizations have met basic criteria and show a foundational understanding of practices with room for growth.
  • Silver is awarded to organizations that demonstrate a more developed approach, meet basic requirements, and show evidence of improvement and effective practices in action.
  • Gold indicates that an organization excels in its practices, implements advanced strategies, and has a robust system in place to ensure quality and effectiveness while actively monitoring and improving processes based on feedback data.
  • Platinum certifications are given to leaders in the field who showcase best practices and innovative approaches. These organizations have a proven track record of excellence and are often looked to as models.
