Pets on Clearwater Beach

If you're looking for a place to catch some rays and hang out with your pupper, try a leisurely walk along Beach Walk. No dogs, cats or pets are allowed on the public bathing beach on Clearwater Beach, with the exception of service animals. The U.S. Department of Justice defines service animals as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.

The yellow section of the map notes areas where dogs are allowed on the beach on a leash (north of Somerset Street). This area of Clearwater is not a dog beach and pets must remain on leash.

The red section of the map notes areas where dogs are not allowed on the beach (south of Somerset Street).
