Downtown Clearwater Community Redevelopment Area (DTCRA) The city of Clearwater initially established a Community Redevelopment Agency for Downtown Clearwater area in 1981. At the original inception, the Community Redevelopment Area comprised 247 acres. This area grew and was expanded eastward to include the Downtown Gateway neighborhood which increased the CRA to its current size of 488 acres.
Downtown Development Board (DDB) The Downtown Development Board (DDB) is composed of seven elected officials who act as an aid to the city, the Clearwater Redevelopment Agency and citizens to see that city services are properly planned and events are funded in the downtown area.
Court Street in Downtown Clearwater To Close for Two Weeks Three of four lanes of westbound traffic of Court Street will close to traffic starting Jan. 20, for approximately two weeks. Lane closures begin at the intersection of Court Street and South Prospect Avenue and go through South Garden Avenue.
