Accessibility Mats

Accessible Mat Schedule

• From May 15 to Oct. 31, the accessibility mats are required to be shortened because of sea turtle nesting season restrictions. During this timeframe, the city has 100 linear feet extend from Beach Walk westward into the beach.  These restrictions are governed by the following:  Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Marine Turtle Protection Act (State), Endangered Species Act (Federal).

• From November 1 to May 14, the city provides a total of 260 linear feet of accessible mat. The mat entrance is located slightly south of Pier 60 and extends westward paralleling Pier 60.

The accessible mats do not go to the water line.
