Below are the road and lane closures happening in the city of Clearwater:

Utility Projects

  • Blanche B. Littlejohn Trail will be closed at Eldridge Street starting Sept. 10 through Sept. 27, due to needed sewer repairs. Follow posted detour signs. The portion of the Pinellas Trail that runs through this intersection will not be impacted. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will not be detoured.
  • Utility crews will be televising and cleaning of utility lines along Drew Street south to Court Street and from South Missouri Avenue east to South Hillcrest Avenue, beginning Sept. 10 through Sept. 13. Expect some traffic delays because of temporary lane closures. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.

Right-of-Way Maintenance Projects

  • None at this time.

Road Construction

  • Beginning Sept. 9, a westbound inside/median lane of State Road 60 from Island Way to the Clearwater Memorial Causeway Bridge will be closed for through Oct. 9, weather permitting, so crews can perform drainage improvements. Additionally, a pedestrian detour will be implemented on the south side of the corridor. This is a project by the Florida Department of Transportation. See project updates, or sign up to receive project alerts.

  • The eastbound lane of Magnolia Drive between Brookside and Wellington drives is currently closed to traffic, due to damage done to the bridge from Tropical Storm Debby. There is no detour in place, and we do not know the anticipated completion date, which will be determined upon repair completion.
