Private Provider Plan Review

Step 1.Open the plans/documents received from the design professional.

Step 2.Save each of the original signed and sealed plan PDF files with “[fileName]_original” in the file name.

Step 3.Proceed with reviewing the plans and/or documents.

Step 4.Sign and seal the reviewed plans and save them with “[fileName]_reviewed” in the file name.

Step 5.Navigate to Clearwater’s permitting portal

Log into your user account.

Step 6.Create the permit application, if needed, or navigate to the existing record.

Step 7.Upload the reviewed set of plans that have been signed and sealed by the “Private Provider” plan reviewer.

Step 8.Choose the “Private Provider Signed” document type when prompted during the upload steps.

Step 9.Complete the remaining upload steps:

  • File uploading and validating
  • File processing (this may take a while)
  • Sheet versioning and verifying the sheet names
  • Submitting the review package to the city by clicking the “Finish” button.

Step 10.The city will do the intake on the reviewed plans.

Step 11.The city will open a new review package and contact the contractor/private provider when it is time to upload the original signed and sealed plans/documents.

Step 12.Once contacted by the city, upload the original signed and sealed plans into the review package that has been set up to receive them.

It is marked with the action “Resume” in the Uploads tab inside the Plan Room. When uploading these plans, choose document type “Plans – Signed and Sealed”.

Step 13.Complete the remaining upload steps as in step 9 above.

Step 14.Upload any other plans or documents that are required for permit review.
