2025 Clearwater Non-Profit Grant Application Information

The city of Clearwater is awarding grants of up to $5,000 to local non-profit/charitable organizations for activities and events that will help further the city's strategic plan and that provide economic, social, medical, cultural, or educational benefits to Clearwater residents. There is a total of $60,000 in funding available for this program.

Interested organizations are invited to submit an application that lists the requested amount (up to $5,000) and specifies how the organization’s work or proposed activity aligns with one of these strategic priorities:

  • Economic & Housing Opportunity – Foster a prosperous and enduring economy that promotes opportunity for all.
  • Community Well-Being – Ensure exceptional communities and neighborhoods where everyone can thrive.
  • Environmental Stewardship – Implement proactive solutions and emerging technologies for a sustainable and resilient community.

Applicants may review the City of Clearwater Strategic Plan before applying.


Criteria

To be eligible for funding, organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a tax-exempt entity.
  • Be a non-profit organization able to provide a 501(c)(3) status form from the IRS and a W9.
  • Be able to show proof of being in operation for a minimum of one year.
  • Located within the city of Clearwater.
  • May not be the recipient of city funds through another city of Clearwater program during the 2025/26 fiscal year.
Timeline

Applications will be accepted continuously until all available funds have been awarded to successful applicants.
