This project is necessary sewer improvements and replacements to ensure system resiliency in storm events and reduce risk of sanitary sewer overflows.

Sewer Improvement Project

Sanitary sewer work is beginning near Bruce Avenue and Verbena Street where crews are digging up and replacing the gravity main sanitary sewer pipe. Following this, crews will then be drilling new pressurized sanitary sewer force mains between sanitary sewer pump/lift stations 09, 10, and 11, which will require less digging in the roadway.

Project Scope

In total, the project includes:

  • About 900 feet of new 10- to 12-inch gravity sewer pipe

  • About 7,850 feet of new 6- to 10-inch force main pipe

These upgrades will help maintain reliable wastewater service and support the city’s long-term infrastructure needs.
